Grants and Donations
Formed in 2001, the Grants and Donations Committee, with the approval of the Board of Directors, provided funds to bona fide charitable, educational groups and organizations dedicated to the art and science of dentistry through either professional or public initiatives. Grants to charities were limited to a maximum of $10,000.
As of Jan. 1, 2009, the Grants and Donations Committee was dissolved by action of the Board of Directors. The reason was that such committee work was seen to duplicate the intent for which the Chicago dental Society foundation was established in late 2007. Therefore, the Chicago Dental Society will no longer be accepting applications for grants and donations. The Chicago Dental Society Foundation will be announcing its application procedures and guidelines.
Charitable organizations and educational groups are encouraged to monitor the CDS Web site or visit www.chicagodentalsocietyfoundation.org for information asthe CDS Foundation proceeds in establishing grant application criteria and submission requirements.
Outlined below is a listing of grants and donations made by the Chicago Dental Society Board of Directors from 2002 through 2008.
